Set up the program types.
1. Open data entry and changes
2. Click on master file & code file entry & changes
3. Set the application drop box to special programs
4. Set the entry options box to student service programs (all fields)
5. Use the green + to add a record for each type of remediation that is reported by this report (see field 4 on the 2009-2010 layout)
1. Enter the program number (1-5 currently)
2. Enter the program title (see the titles on the file layout)
3. Save the record
Add the program(s) to the students.
1. Open data entry and changes
2. Click on student information
3. Set the entry options box to student services (all fields)
o You may want to create your OWN data view to show only the program number, title, start date and end date by doing so, you’ll eliminate the other fields you don’t need at this time
4. Find a student who needs a service added to his/her record
o Click the green +
o Select a program number from that drop box
o Program title will auto fill upon save
o Enter a start date (field has an * by it)
o Enter an end date (field has an * by it)
5. Click the diskette to save the newly added data
6. Add a second record to the student if the student takes more than one program during the collection period
7. Repeat for all other applicable students
Report the data to the state.
1. Click on processing center
2. Click on data exchange, state & federal reporting
3. Click on Indiana
4. Choose the remediation report (DOE-RM)
5. Select a report title (if you don’t like the one auto set up)
6. Choose the output file type
7. Match up the fields, using the export design options button – changing as needed
o School number, STN, and grade level will all come from the demographics table
o Program, beginning date, and ending date will all come from the services table
8. Click the icon to create the export file
9. Upload data to the state
