For ECA:
1. You should do a sort on the classes in Curr_Yr_Schedules that apply to this test. For example, if running test 1004-ECA GQE English 10, you would sort out those classes that are administering the test.
2. If more than one classroom is reported, you will have to match the Test Code field (#16) to a field in the Coursemaster that you will populate (for convenience, SDS has it set up to use coursemaster.alternat field).
3. If more than one classroom is reported, match the Class/Period (#17) field to the Period_From field (not the Period field) in Coursemaster. The data will automatically be set to format as 001, 002, etc. This match will allow the Teacher SPN to be pulled from the Teachers table.
4. If only one classroom is reported, the values for these three fields (15,16,17) can be entered in default value fields and matched to those.
For ISTEP, IMAST and LAS
LINKS:
1. You will need to select the students on an appropriate field in demographics or curr_yr_schedules to get the right population.
2. If only one teacher is being reported, these fields can be set as default values based on the test reported.
o Class/Period: ISTEP is 998, IMAST is 997 and LAS LINKS is 999.
o Test Code: ISTEP is 9900, IMAST is 9925 and LAS LINKS is 9950.
o Teacher SPN
3. If more than one teacher is reported, you will have to match the Test Code field (#16) to the field in the Coursemaster (coursemaster.alternat) in order to pull multiple Teacher SPN values. The Class/Period can use the default.
Report Layout. Fields in bold type are required.
1. School_number – match to the field that contains your school’s state assigned number OR enter the default value.
2. Student Test Number - match to the field that contains your students’ state testing number (STN).
3. Primary Exceptionality – match with your exceptionality field in demographics.
4. Section 504 – match with your Section 504 field.
5. Accommodations - match to a field with the code assigned to students with IEP, Section 504 or LEP designations. The default value for this field is N.
6. English Language Proficiency Level - match to field indicating if student is LEP. This must be Y or N.
7. First Year Test Taker – match with your field that indicates whether this is the first year the LEP student will be taking the LAS Links test.
8. Teacher SPN – match with the SPN field from the teachers table.
9. Test Code – use one of the default value fields to mass fill this data field for all students who are taking the test for which you are making these labels.
10. First Sort Option - This field is used for ECA sort. Values must be 0-9 or blank. If used, match this to the Period_From field in Curr_Yr_Schedules.
11. Second Sort Option - This field is used for ISTEP/READ sort. Values must be 0-9 or blank.
12. Third Sort Option - This field is used for ISTEP/READ sort. Values must be 0-9 or blank.
13. Corporation Student ID – match this field to the id number field in demographics.
14. Retest Status – match with your retest field from demographics or use a default value field to indicate this value. This must be Y or N.
15. Teacher Email Address – match this field to the e-mail field from the teachers table.
16. ISTEP Multiple Choice Online Teacher SPN2 – match this field with the SPN field from the teachers table OR set default to N/A.
This state report is different from the others in that it is
used for multiple testing purposes.
Based on the test for which you are
preparing this data, you may have to re-match the field values or use the
default value option to submit the same data value for everyone in the file.
