Firefox SSL error on SDS hosted sites

Question:  I receive the following error how do I fix it? 

Firefox SSL error on SDS hosted sites.

Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer



Answer:

This is due to Firefox having one of Verisign’s Certificate Authority’s turned off. This is one the new Verisign SSL certificates issued to SDS uses as an Intermediate Certificate Authority.

1.  This can be resolved by going to Tools – Options.

2.  Click the View Certificates button.

3.  Scroll down and select the CA we have highlighted below.

4.  Click Edit.

5.  Checkmark “This certificate can identify web sites.

6.  Click Ok and close all windows.
