To install SDS V8.5/Web Control Center on a workstation. Follow the below steps.
1. At browser address type in ftp.schooloffice.com
2. Login ftpguest
3. Password sds
4. Select FromSDS folder
5. Double click on StudentV8Install directory
6. Double click on StudentV8Install.zip file
7. Select Save
8. Navigate to the directory that contains your SDS database
9. Select Save
10. After download go to My Computer and navigate to the directory in which it was saved
11. Right-click on StudentV8Install.zip and select Extract All (make sure you extract to your working student directory – the location of your sdsxplan.mdb)
12. Go to the location (working student directory) where you extracted the files and run Setup.exe
13. A message will appear “installing files”
14. A box will open – select OK
15. Choose the directory in which your database is located
16. Select the computer icon to do the workstation install (this is not installed to your local C drive unless that is where your database is located)
